Bale Arode Urges Governor Abiodun To Extend Government Presence To Ijagun

High Chief Jacob Olusegun Arode, Ijatoro of Ijagun (Odogbolu LGA), has called for increased government presence in his domain through project implementation.

Ijagun hosts the Federal University of Education and its 20,000 plus students and staff, yet the community requires improved roads and other facilities. Chief Arode said road conditions were deplorable particularly during rainy season; saying embarkation on road reconstruction should include drainage and solar street lighting.

He commended Governor Abiodun's projects in the state, including the Gateway International Airport (GIA) in Iperu, which has improved livelihood and created jobs for the youths. He also requested for similar developmental projects in Ijagun township.

Chief Arode described local initiatives to improve security, road grading and empowerment schemes for widows and the less privileged, plus a scholarship scheme for underprivileged children. He pledged to work with palace chiefs and the diaspora to attract cooperation and support.

He urged students to maintain peace and appealed for additional transformers to improve power supply and more police personnel to bolster security, saying Senator Adeola should endeavour to prioritize grassroots development.
